Paper checks may not always be the most popular form of payment for many consumers because of time spent at the point of sale; however, FDIS offers merchants a way to accommodate those customers who still prefer checks as a payment type. Through the TeleCheck® Warranty and Electronic Check Acceptance® (ECA®) services, merchants have the ability to accept checks in a safer, more reliable and more profitable environment.

The TeleCheck Warranty service acts like an insurance policy for merchants when accepting paper checks as TeleCheck automatically guarantees the full amount of any check it approves, provided that the merchants have met all its requirements.

The TeleCheck ECA program converts paper checks electronically at the point of sale and transfers the money from the customer's account to the merchant's, acting in many ways like a debit card payment.

The Hypercom® 1MB T7Plus terminal offers more memory and convenience, as well as an upgraded feature set from the original T7Plus model.

It quickly processes all major payment types and delivers fast, accurate online transaction authorizations. In addition, the T7Plus terminal is designed for future flexibility with connections for new and existing peripheral payment acceptance devices.

It also offers “one-touch” operation for a wide range of functions and specific applications for restaurants, retailers, lodging, and other industries. The Hypercom 1MB T7Plus terminal also offers optional Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) service from First Data.™ The DCC service gives international customers the option of paying in their credit card billing currency. This unique payment option lets travelers know their transaction costs immediately, with no guessing about conversion rates or fees.

How It Works

The Hypercom T7Plus terminal accepts PIN and signature debit cards, credit cards (including American Express®, Discover® and Diners Club®) and checks using TeleCheck® Paper Check Warranty and Verification services. This terminal solution processes transactions through a dial-up connection and it generates customer receipts with only the last four digits of the card number to help protect your customers from fraud and identify theft. The T7Plus terminal also operates with manager password controls to help ensure transaction security with special, feature-rich, industry-specific applications.
